THE TALANTHOUGHT

A PIECE OF THE SEA

He says he is a sailor, but I, who know him well, know that he has never sailed the sea, and he only knows a tiny little piece of it; the one he has been watching and sweeping with attentive glances all his life, every summer, with his red whistle hanging around his neck and his life jacket at hand.

He is a lifeguard, son of a lifeguard.

An animal of the shoreline.

Giampaolo Talani, 2004
