THE TALANTHOUGHT

SEA WALKS

I used to go on little sea walks to collect shells because...back then there were shells, all kinds.
And there were crabs too, and it was fun to make them jump out of the sand on the shoreline.
I was the master of waves and swells and the bushes of the 'salty pine forest', as I called it because the leaves tasted of the sea.

And at night I would fall asleep tired on the table, my shoes full of sand and pebbles, my pockets full of small coloured shells.
